A discapito di quelle recensioni che ho appena letto siamo clienti fissi da 10 anni e veniamo da Milano per mangiare qui... 2 figlie ho cresciuto ed hanno sempre mangiato da Poldo, ovviamente da viaggiatrice ho imparato ad adeguarmi ai posti dove vado, e comunque quando le mie bambine erano piccole non ho mai avuto problemi con pappine ecc...
Detto questo dovete venire qui assolutamente in questi 10 anni il servizio e la qualità è aumentata, si paga ma se devo pagare per mangiare bene lo faccio...
Cibo di qualità, pesce di qualità... Il mio piatto preferito in assoluto i ravioli ripieni di cernia con crema di scampi🤤🤤🤤 goduriosi...

Chiedo venia per le foto oscurate, c'era luce soft.
Ho mangiato in modo divino, non c'è stata una portata che non ho gradito.
Il calamaro ben fritto, il cocktail ben condito e la zuppa era molto saporita.
Il vero top piatto sono state le farfalle al salmone e gambero, una vera delizia.

⭐ 1/5 – By far the worst restaurant we visited in Sicily

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst restaurant experience we had during our entire week-long holiday in Sicily. We visited 14 different restaurants, and this one was easily the worst.

The food was served with huge gaps between dishes. I had already finished my spaghetti before my wife and child even received their meals. This is completely unacceptable, especially when dining as a family.

There was also no English-speaking service. Whenever we asked about something, we were simply told “yes”, only to find out later that the menu did not actually offer what we had asked for. This made ordering unnecessarily frustrating.

The QR-code-only menu was also very inconvenient to use, and there was no paper menu available.

Then came the additional charges. There was a service charge, plus a bottle of reusable water was placed on our table immediately upon arrival and then charged to the bill. So before we had even properly ordered anything, our bill had already increased by around €13.

Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing. Everything we ordered tasted and looked like it had come from frozen/pre-prepared products. The burger didn’t even have any sauce, and the chicken nuggets served to our child were the kind of cheap nuggets you would expect from a low-cost supermarket.

The location is also not as appealing as it might initially appear. Yes, there is supposedly a view, but directly in front of the restaurant there is a scooter parking area and a very busy road. It is extremely noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation, and there are also noticeable vehicle fumes.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish: slow service, poor communication, inconvenient menu, unexpected charges and mediocre food.

After visiting 14 restaurants during our week in Sicily, this was without a doubt the worst one. I would not recommend it and would not return

Very disappointing experience, especially as we came here to celebrate our son’s 5th birthday.

Before ordering, we specifically asked if they had gnocchi for our son and were assured they did. We were also told they had a kids’ menu. In the end, another waiter told us they did NOT have gnocchi and offered pasta instead. The “kids’ portion” was basically a full-sized adult portion.

We ordered apple juice for our son, but received a pineapple drink without being told that apple juice was unavailable. When we asked for a replacement, we were given an orange drink — again, not actual juice.

The service was extremely poorly organised. Our dishes arrived separately, with long waits between them. Our son received his nuggets first and had to wait for his pasta, while my husband’s meal arrived much later. The burger and nuggets also appeared to be frozen products deep-fried rather than freshly prepared.

The worst part was my burger. While eating it, I noticed a very unpleasant bitter taste and found something on the bun that appeared to be MOULD!. I calmly went to inform the staff because I genuinely wanted to bring the issue to their attention. The buns were being stored in closed plastic containers.

Instead of simply checking the bun, I was told that it was impossible for it to be mould because they bake the buns every day. The chef became aggressive and raised his voice. Even after I ended the conversation and walked away, he continued directing insulting comments towards me. This was extremely upsetting, especially with my five-year-old son witnessing his mother being treated this way on his birthday.

A service charge was also added despite the very poor service. The burger was eventually removed from the bill, which I appreciate, but by then the birthday lunch was completely ruined. We no longer even wanted to stay to celebrate and have our son blow out his candles.

Mistakes happen in restaurants. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, in our experience, there was a complete lack of professionalism, courtesy and basic respect for the customer.
